ABOUT US

ITO'Y in the context of the Filipino language means "IT IS". Thus one may interpret it as "IT IS A COFFEE HAUS". But people not familiar with the language would probably think that ITOY'S... is the possessive form of ITOY to mean "IT'S MY COFFEE HAUS".

However, it is not what people may perceive it to be, because the name "ITOY" is the nickname of the grand old man of the Marcelo Clan - Benito Jason Marcelo, Jr. The father of Mrs. Ma. Editha Marcelo Bayron, the owner of Itoy's Coffee Haus.

Girlie as she is fondly called by friends and relatives, started to dream of owning her coffee shop while sipping her favorite cup in one of Metro Manila's prestigious coffee shops. She would go coffee shop hopping to get a taste of the different coffee mixes in the market. Thus on December 8, 2005, after ten (10) years of careful planning and market research, Girlie finally established Itoy's Coffee Haus in the heart of Puerto Princesa City. Two years later, December 8, 2007, she opened a branch at Barangay San Pedro, Puerto Princesa City.

ITOY and EVING - the couple in their lifetime lived a simple life. Itoy would spend most of his time tending to his farm at Tagburos or at Canigaran while Eving stayed home to take care of their children. Love they gave to their children abundantly - talk with them, listen to them and laugh with them. There was so much love and caring in their relationship that to this day their memory lives on.
